Founder Lisa Liang grew up in Southern China, where hosting isn’t service but life. Her Hakka ancestors’ tulou (earthen fortress) kept doors unlocked for travelers; her Chaoshan grandma served three tea cups—"three" symbolizes wholeness for generosity; family feasts saved the best seat (facing the gate) for guests. These were silent promises: "You are respected and belong here"

Later, Lisa noticed luxury hotels chased grandeur but lacked warmth. Thus, Karam Spaces was born—we don’t sell furniture, but seating systems rooted in timeless hospitality. Seat depth follows "Guests sit deeper than hosts"; curves mirror tulou’s embrace spririt; fabrics are fire-resistant, water-resistant, easy-clean (for your team, too).
